Meditation can greatly improve the way our body regulates itself.   In most people meditation has been proven to create inner peace and well-being.  Avoiding stress and meditating can greatly improve our chances in fighting wrinkles because they can greatly relax our body and improve our immune system – this is a common belief among monks and scientists who study the effects of meditation.  With meditation, one can even regulate his/her body temperature, which is something previously believed to be only an autonomic process. 

Relaxing really helps in so many ways and in fighting the negative effects of ageing, one can truly use the benefits meditation can offer.  Skin experts have noticed that people who meditate regularly tend to have an aura of peace that radiates from them.  Though it may sound like pop psychology, but studies have shown that meditating, even for just a few minutes each day, can help the body maintain equilibrium – something that strengthens our body and help it cope when a stressful situation occurs.  Relaxing is a known helping factor for acne treatment .

Ageing, which brings about many physical and emotional changes that take its toll on the body, can be easily combated if we are able to experience regular moments of peace and relaxation.  And don’t forget that frowning causes more wrinkles than smiling.  So one of the best kept secrets to fighting the war against ageing – don’t let it get to you, sit back, relax, and enjoy whatever’s on the TV (it would also help a lot if you had an anti-aging mask on while you do this).
